Protecting your coloured hair between salon visits

Using professional hair products is the best place to start. I know when we mention this in salon, most of you will have never been told this prior.

Basically professional hair products are highly concentrated and use superior ingredients like botanical oils, proteins, and amino acids to help improve long-term hair health. They avoid heavy silicones, waxes, and cheap fillers, meaning you use less product per wash while seeing better, lasting results.

If you’re a Blondie, we may recommend you to come back to the salon for a toner, between visits as this helps manage your hair tone, and can prevent brassiness and neutralise unwanted tones throughout your colour.

Using heat protection creates a protective barrier between your hair and the heat of the styling tool you’re using; Helping to reduce breakage and keep your hair feeling nice and healthy.

If you’re spending time outdoors make sure to wear a hat and use UV protection sprays to keep your colour shining and longer lasting.

Try to think of your hair asif it’s your skin, if you’re exposing it to heat and not replacing that moisture, it’s going to feel dry, your hair is the same. So if in doubt, don’t forget to use your weekly Olaplex and moisture treatment!

As always, if you have any questions at your appointment, we can give personalised advice for you specifically!
